After hearing the matter at length, this Court was not convinced with the argument placed by the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the revision petitioners. The learned Counsel for the revision petitioners sought leave of this Court to withdraw this petition and he also made an endorsement in the Court bundle, today, to that effect.
2. It is submitted by the learned senior counsel for the revision petitioners that in the course of argument of this petition that the learned Government Advocate has furnished/ circulated the alleged statements of A2, A3 and A4 to the Investigating Officer, but, the copies of those statements are not furnished to the petitioners. Hence, request is made to direct the Investigating Officer to furnish those copies to the petitioners for effective defence. The said request is taken note of and the Investigating Officer is directed to give copies of the statements of the accused to the petitioners, even if copies have already been furnished.
3. In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and with the above direction, this Criminal Revision Case is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequenly, the connected miscellaneous petition 2/4
is closed.
