The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction, to direct the first respondent to consider the representations submitted by the writ petitioner on 28.08.2015 and 01.03.2017, in respect of promotion to the post of Health Inspector Grade I.

2. The writ petitioner was appointed as Health Inspector Gr.II, on 14.11.2006. He has completed his probation period on 15.11.2008 and promoted to the post of Food Safety Officer on 27.07.2011. However, the writ petitioner claims that though he is due for promotion to the post of Health Inspector Gr-II, he has not been considered. In this regard, he has made representations to the first respondent on 28.08.2015 and 01.03.2017, which are yet to be considered.

3. Without considering the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 28.08.2015 and 01.03.2017 and pass orders on merits in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, no order as to costs.
