This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 3 and 4 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2024 with regard to issuance of Patta, bearing S.No.99/1, extent 1 acre 50 cents and S.No.89/2, extent 28 cents situated at Peruvaloor Village, Melmalaiyanur Taluk, Villupuram District. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner had made online application on 12.02.2021 and paid the requisite fee for issuance of Patta, no action was taken by the respondents. Hence, he subsequently made representations on 09.10.2023 and 09.01.2024. So far, the respondents 3 and 4 have not taken any steps. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed.

3. Mr.T.Arun Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and since the Writ Petition is filed seeking a simple Writ of Mandamus for issuance of Patta, this Court without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs the 4th respondent to issue notice to the petitioner, interested parties/rival claimants/objectors/aggrieved parties if any, as the case may be and after issuing notice to all the parties, conduct 2/5

enquiry in the manner known to law and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself. No costs.
