Mr.S.Muthuraj, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents.

2. The petitioner was suspended from service by an order dated 01.03.2013 for certain irregularities. According to the petitioner, he was not paid subsistence allowance during the period of suspension. However, the second respondent ordered for departmental enquiry and based on the report of the Enquiry Officer, the petitioner was dismissed from service by an order dated 13.03.2015. As against the said order, the petitioner preferred appeal to the first respondent on 26.03.2015.

3. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for a direction to the respondents to pay him subsistence allowance and to dispose of his appeal dated 26.03.2015.

4. In view of the narrow prayer made, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 26.03.2015 filed by the petitioner, within a period https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent is directed to pay subsistence allowance for the period of suspension, if not already paid, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
