Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus,
directing the respondents to adopt sliding system in the B.Sc., (Agri) counselling for the academic year 2017-2018 and to permit the petitioners to participate in the second counseling schedule to be conducted on 29.08.2017 onwards and allot seats in the Coimbatore Agricultural University or any other Government College in the Coimbatore region or otherwise allot the petitioner in the lapsed seats in Coimbatore Agricultural University.

When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in the writ petition. 2.However, the learned counsel prayed that the petitioner may be given liberty to approach the Division Bench to place any other issues relating to public interest.
3.It is open to the petitioner to seek any other relief on merits and the writ petition is closed. No costs.
