The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Parangepettai (Portnovo), Cuddalore District to complete the trial in C.C. No.111 of 2016 within a stipulated time.

2. Heard Mr. A.Suresh Sakthi Murugan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and P.Kritika Kamal, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. Taking into account the limited prayer sought for in the present petition and also the fact that the proceedings are pending from the year 2016 onwards, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Portnovo, Cuddalore District to complete the proceedings pending in C.C.No.111 of 2016 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
