Earlier, this court by an order dated 19.04.2023 in the above Criminal Original Petition, granted interim anticipatory bail on condition that the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.50,00,000/- (Rupees fifty lakhs only) to the credit of Crime No.2 of 2023 before the concerned Magistrate within a period of four weeks and adjourned the matter for reporting compliance.
2. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing under the caption "For reporting compliance", Mr.S.Parthasarathy, learned senior counsel for the petitioner appeared and submitted that the petitioner could not comply the condition imposed by this court. Accordingly, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submissions of learned counsel for petitioner that he did 1/3
not comply the condition to deposit the aforesaid amount as imposed by this court, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed and the interim anticipatory bail granted by this court vide order dated 19.04.2023 in Crl.O.P.No. 7461 of 2023 is cancelled. However, the respondent police is directed to take appropriate action against the petitioner.
