O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide Police protection to the officials and workers engaged by the fourth respondent for erecting electric pole in S.Nos.102/1 and 102/2A situated at Papparapatti Village, Pochampalli Taluk, Krishnagiri District.

2. Heard Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.N.Ponraj, learned counsel for the fifth respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that when the fourth respondent gave application to the third respondent to give Police protection to the E.B officials to erect the pole in the land of the petitioner, the respondents 1 to 3 are not providing Police protection.

4. Mr.N.Ponraj, learned counsel appearing for the fifth respondent submitted that if the petitioner is not causing any disturbance, he has no objection in erecting the pole by the E.B officials, in S.Nos.102/1 and 102/2A.

5. In such a view of the matter, in the event of any disturbance is caused by the private respondents, viz., 5 to 7, while erecting the electricity pole in the land allotted to the petitioner, petitioner is at liberty to approach the Police for protection to the officials and workers engaged by the fourth respondent. On such request made by the petitioner, the respondents Police shall provide necessary protection to the officials to carry out their work.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
