Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2016 with regard to arrears of salary and pension in the light of G.O.Ms.No.61 dated 30.04.2015 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. O R D E R
The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2016, with regard to the arrears of salary and pension on the basis of G.O.Ms.No.61 dated 30.04.2015.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the Writ Petitioner submits that the writ petitioner was appointed as Conductor on 01.05.1979, and promoted to the post of Traffic Inspector with effect from 04.08.2012. The writ petitioner was retired from service on 31.08.2012, on attaining the age of superannuation. However, there is a discrepancy in respect of pay fixation. Accordingly, the Writ Petitioner made a representation to the second respondent on 16.04.2016. However, the representation submitted by the writ petitioner has not been disposed of till date.
3.Thus, without going into the merits and demerits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 16.04.2016, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The Writ Petition stands disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
