ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 1 st and 2 nd respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioners on 23.01.2025 for issuance of patta with respect to the subject property.
3/6 2.Heard Mr.S.Doraisamy, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 5.
3.It is seen from records that the struggle for getting a patta with respect to the subject property which is alleged to be used for agricultural purposes, started form the days when the 1 st petitioner's husband (father of the other petitioners) came before this Court and challenged the proceedings initiated under the Land Encroachment Act in the year 1998. Thereafter, the 1 st petitioner's husband died and his wife and children are now fighting for patta with respect to the subject property which is alleged to have been used for agricultural purposes for a very long time.
4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court and considering the grievance expressed by the petitioners, there shall be a direction to the 1 st respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioners on 23.01.2025 in line with
4/6 G.O.Ms.No.97, dated 21.02.2025 and pass orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
