O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.08.2014.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father viz., Munusamy aged about 90 years, senior citizen had been living with him. His father worked as a "Sippanthi" (Village Assistant) in the Office of the Village Administrative Office at Uriyur Village and he retired in the year 2001. His father was having punja lands in S.No.145 to an extent of 16.0 Ares ( 0.40 cents) . In the said village, under patta No.786 in respect of the said land, his father executed a Sale Deed in Doc.No.647 of 1998 dated 21.04.1998 in favour of Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, Vellore District for a consideration of Rs.5,520/-. The sale deed was executed on condition to give employment opportunity to any one of his son. Page No. 2 of 6

3. It is submitted that the respondents neither offered any employment to him / members of family nor utilized the lands for the purpose for which, it was purchased. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner studied upto S.S.L.C and he has registered his education qualification with the District Employment Office at Vellore in Registration No.1010109 dated 10.07.2009.

The learned counsel would further submit that the petitioner's father sent a requisition on 22.06.2009 to provide employment for his children on 10.08.2009 and subsequently on 10.11.2009, the petitioner's father gave a representation to the third respondent, the Special Tahsildar, Land Acquisition Adi-Dravidar Welfare Department Walajah, Vellore District. But the Tahsildar has given a reply dated 13.11.2009 stating that the priority of his employment opportunity is only through the Employment Exchange.

5. It appears that thereafter also petition of his father was registered. Based on the request, the second respondent has given a reply dated 26.06.2009 and the same was sent to the first respondent for further action. However, there is no response from the respondents. Page No. 3 of 6

6. In this regard, the petitioner's father has given several representations to the respondents. Since, no action has been taken on the said representations, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition seeking the aforesaid relief.

7. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

8. Considering the submissions made on either side, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.08.2014 and pass appropriate orders on merits in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
