O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed praying to punish the respondents for not complying with the order of this Court made in W.P.No.37980 of 2003 dated 6/2/2014.

2. Contempt Petition has been filed on 16th November 2015, alleging violation of order made in W.P.No.37980 of 2003 dated 6/2/2014, wherein this Court had directed the official respondents to pay a sum of Rs.3,75,000/-, with interest, at the rate of 7.5% p.a., from the date of death of the minor child, aged about 5 years.

3. On this day, when the Contempt Petition came up for admission, Mr.S.Ayyathurai, learned counsel for the writ petitioner, submitted that the official respondents have challenged the order in W.A.No.1800 of 2015, and by an order dated 7th January 2016, a Honourable Division Bench of this Court, while issuing notice to the respondents returnable in two weeks, directed the State Government to make payment of compensation, of Rs.3,75,000/- with interest, as awarded by the learned Single Judge, within a period of two weeks, from 7/1/2016 and further, directed the Registry to post the matter on 21/1/2016.

4. Contempt Petition has been filed prior to the order dated 7/1/2016, made in W.A.No.1800 of 2015. As there is

already a direction to pay the amount, by the Honourable Division Bench of this Court, with extended time, upto 21/1/2016, as of today, there is no contempt as on today. Besides the matter is sub-judice before the Honourable Division Bench.

5. In the light of the above, Contempt Petition is closed. Mvs.
