Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records pertaining to the order of detention passed by the first respondent herein and made in No.74/BCDFGISSSV/2021 dated 17.03.2021 and to set aside the same and direct the third respondent to produce the detenu, the husband of the petitioner herein Jaideep, aged 34 years, S/o.Jayachandran, now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and thereby setting him at liberty.

ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in No.74/BCDFGISSSV/2021 dated 17.03.2021 detaining her husband as "Drug Offender", as contemplated under Section 2(e) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.2068, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 04.05.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
