WPs Common Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for records relating to the order of the second respondent made in Letter No.C.I.T.03/maruaaivu/2018 dated nil.01.2020, signed on 30.01.2020 to quash the same and to consequently direct the first and second respondents to revise 1/4

and re-fix the rent appropriately.

For Petitioner : M/s.N.R.Jasmine Padma in both WPs For Respondents : Mr.D.Veerasekaran, Standing Counsel in both WPs COMMON ORDER The petitioners filed these writ petitions challenging the order passed by the second respondent dated 30.01.2020 fixing the rent payable by the petitioners for the flats in their occupation (i.e) MIG Flat in Nandanam Housing Board.

2. In the Counter Affidavit filed by the second respondent, it is clearly stated that subsequent to the filing of these writ petitions, the rent and maintenance charges have been revised through the resolution No.9.03 dated 29.04.2010.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner in WP.No.8372 of 2020 has been paying the revised rent mentioned in the counter affidavit. Therefore, the writ petition in WP.No.8372 of 2020 2/4

has become infructuous.

4. The learned counsel further submitted that the petitioner in W.P.No.8373 of 2020 is ready to pay the revised rent, as per the board resolution dated 29.04.2010 mentioned in the counter affidavit. Accordingly, the said statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is recorded.
