ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] This writ petition has been filed by the father on behalf of the convict, seeking parole on the premise that the mother of the convict is having ill-health.

2. We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that as per the Prison Rules, ordinary leave is not permissible. But if the authorities are satisfied on the need, the request may be considered for emergency leave.

4. Considering the above, we direct the respondents to consider the case of the convict for grant of emergency leave within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the habeas corpus petition stands disposed of.
