The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from transferring the petitioner from the post of Commissioner, Avadi City Municipal Corporation, Avadi.
2. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.T.Chezhiyan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, submitted that subsequent to the filing of the Writ Petition, the Writ Petitioner has been transferred and posted as the Director, Tamil Nadu Institute of Urban Studies, Coimbatore and he joined duty on 26.07.2021 F.N. Hence, the Writ Petition has become infructuous.
2. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
