This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to investigate and file a Final Report in Cr.No.347 of 2011 on the file of the respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. Today, Mr.K.K.Senthil Kumar, Inspector of Police, Virudhachalam, is present. On his instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation in this case was completed as early as 08.05.2011 and the closure report was not filed before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

4. Under such circumstances, the respondent police is directed to furnish a copy of the closure report to the defacto-complainant and file the same before the jurisdictional Magistrate within a period of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The defacto-complainant will be entitled to file a protest application before the jurisdictional Magistrate, who shall take action in accordance with law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Vinay Tyagi Vs. Irshad Ali Alias Deepak and others reported in (2013) 5 Supreme Court Cases 762.

With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
