The petitioner has prayed for a mandamus directing the respondents to sanction refund of an amount of Rs.7,16,750/- along with interest within a stipulated time frame.
2. On 28.04.2021, Mr.Prabu Mukund Arun Kumar, learned Junior Standing Counsel, who has accepted notice for the respondent, was directed to obtain instructions on the pendency of the request for the refund as well as quantification of the amount payable and status of refund. Today he states that the refund sought for, a sum of Rs.7,16,750/- will be issued to the petitioner within four weeks from today. This is recorded. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. Mr.J.V.Niranjan, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that he does not pursue the claim for interest. This is also recorded.
