Respondents Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to accord permission to the petitioner to conduct the festival and 3rd and 4th respondents to give protection to the festival commencing from 06.09.2017 at Pottireddypatty Arulmigu Sree Mariamman Temple. The learned Special Government Pleader on written instructions submitted that the respondent is willing to extend police protection for the purpose of conducting festival at Pottireddypatty Arulmigu Sree Mariamman Temple from 06.09.2017 to 10.09.2017.

2. Recording the above said submission of the learned Special Government Pleader and letter dated 04.09.2017 from the 4th respondent addressed to the Special Government Pleader, the writ petition stands allowed. Consequently, there shall be a direction to the fourth respondent to extend police protection for the said festival from 06.09.2017 to 10.09.2017. No costs.
