JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) Challenging the order of the family Court granting maintenance and permanent alimony, the present appeal has been filed. 1/4

2. During the pendency of the appeal, the matter has been referred to Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Court and settlement has been arrived at between the parties. The settlement agreement entered into between the parties dated 07.01.2025 has also been placed before this Court. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the appellant that as agreed in the mediation, a sum of Rs.50,00,000/- has already been paid and an affidavit to that effect has also been filed. The learned counsel for the respondent also confirms the receipt of amount.

3. Accordingly, this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of in terms of settlement agreement dated 07.01.2025. The settlement agreement shall form part of the decree. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
