ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- Petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 05.03.2021 for the offence punishable under Section 420 of I.P.C altered to 467,468,471, 120B of I.P.C in Crime No.252 of 2019, seek bail.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner initially received a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- from the defacto complainant for starting online business and thereafter he demanded more amount from him and altogether he received a sum of Rs.16,50,953/- from the defacto complainant and further he was demanding more money from the defacto complainant. Hence, a law enforcing agency registered a case against the petitioner and other accused.

3. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposed the bail application by stating that the petitioner received a sum of Rs.16,50,953/- from the defacto complainant for the purpose of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

starting online business and thereby he cheated him by not paying any returns. She further submits that the investigation is in preliminary stage.

5. Considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner and the investigation is still pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
