O R D E R

The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(C) read with Section 20(b) (ii) (B) of Norcotic Drugs and Pchotropic Substance Act in Crime No.518 of 2019, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of 1.500 kg ganja. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent police submitted that during the routine vehicle checkup by the respondent police, the petitioner was found in possession of 1.500 kg of ganja and therefore, he vehemently opposed to grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
