This writ petition has been filed to direct the Respondents No.2,3 to grant adequate police protection to the petitioner company for executing the solar projects, more particularly erection of poles on the side of road within the limits of Kannan Kovil Village panchayat in view of the permission granted by the Divisional Engineer, National Highways Department, Dharapuram, Tiruppur District vide proceedings in Ka. No.658/ 2024/ Eva.A/ dated 19.3.2024. 2.Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3. 3.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents submitted that the representation made by the petitioner is not available with the respondents. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that if fresh representation
is made by the petitioner, the same will be enquired and a decision will be taken with regard to providing police protection.
4.Considering the submissions made by learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the 3rd respondents. The 3rd respondent, on receipt of the same, shall conduct an enquiry by issuing notice to all the interested parties and shall take a decision within a period of four (4) weeks.
