The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case, on the complaint dated 03.06.2016, given by the petitioner and to investigate the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that this petitioner is a President of Bharathiya Hindu Vyaparigal Sangam, and he has made an allegation that there is an illegal sand quarry in his area. The petitioner has not given any details about the said quarrying and hence no positive direction can be given to the respondent-Police.

4. However, respondent-Police is directed to conduct enquiry with regard to the allegations, and if any illegal quarrying is taking place, it is needless to state that suo-moto FIR to be registered.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
