Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to hold enquiry in to the atrocities and torture inflicted foisting false case may be enquired into under 151 Police Standing Orders against Chellamani, Sub Inspector of Police, Saravanampet C-3 Police Station and he be dealt with in accordance with law by considering the petitioner representation dated 20.02.2023. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to hold an enquiry into the alleged atrocities and torture, including foisting of a false case, purportedly committed by Chellamani, Sub Inspector of Police, Saravanampet C-3 Police Station and he has requested that the matter be enquired into under Police Standing Order 151 and that appropriate action to be taken in accordance with law, based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the second respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 20.02.2023, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the counter parties, if any, and to dispose of the same, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
