ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging non-compliance of the order passed by this Court in the writ petition by order dated 27.02.2025 in W.P. No.7339 of 2025.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the Joint Muthavalli of Jumma Pallivasal, Kallakurichi. This Court, while disposing of the writ petition on 27.02.2025, recorded the submission of the Managing Muthavalli that the things needed for preparation and supply of Nonbu Kanji and other food items to be distributed during Sahar and Iftar would be purchased and the accounts relating to such expenditure shall be maintained and submitted to the authorities concerned.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that though one part of the order has been complied with, the direction relating to submission of accounts has not been complied with, thereby this Contempt Petition is filed.

4. Per contra, learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the officials concerned are regularly supervising the day-to-day functioning of the Jumma Pallivasal and the person in-charge of the Pallivasal has been 2/4

submitting expenditure statements periodically. He further submitted that the petitioner and certain other persons are not cooperating in the administration and in the matter of accounts, for which separate proceedings are already pending pursuant to the complaint made by the petitioner.

5. Learned counsel for the respondents further submitted that appropriate action would be taken by the respondents against the persons who fail to submit the accounts as required.

6. Recording the said submission and in view of the above facts and circumstances, this Court is of the view that no further orders are required in the present Contempt Petition. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition is closed. 13.03.2026 Index : Yes / No Speaking Order / Non-speaking order vsi2 3/4
