This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to act upon the representation given by the petitioner and to issue patta in the name of the petitioner with respect to the subject property.

2. Heard Ms.C.Sandhya, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. It is the admitted case of the petitioner that the property in question is a Government poramboke land. The petitioner claims to be in possession of the property for a long period of time and representation was given for grant of patta with respect to the subject property in the name of the petitioner. Since there was no progress, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction 2/4

to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the first respondent along with all the necessary documents. The same shall be dealt with by the first respondent in line with G.O.Ms.No.97, dated 21.02.2025 and a decision shall be taken within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of representation from the petitioner. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
