ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents No.1 to 6 to disburse the funds from the deceased R. Srinivasan's bank savings account and fixed deposits based on the petitioners' representations dated 13.06.2025 and 30.06.2025 and permit the petitioners herein, who being the Class-I legal heirs of late R. Srinivasan to operate and access the locker No.0173 of type-B maintained by the seventh respondent by appreciating the facts and circumstances narrated in the affidavit.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.R.Sreedhar, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2. Since no adverse order is to be passed as against the respondents 3 to 8 in the present Writ Petition, notice to them is dispensed with.

3. In view of the order propose to be passed in this Writ Petition, WMP.No.12681 of 2026 filed by the petitioners to permit them to file a Single Writ Petition is allowed subject of payment of a separate Court fee.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners herein are the Class I legal heirs, who are none other than the wife and sons of the deceased R.Srinivasan respectively and the eighth respondent is the brother of the deceased. He further submitted that the said R.Srinivasan died on 25.02.2025 and he had held his brother as his nominee for the saving bank accounts in which he had several fixed deposits with the respondents 1 to 6 and a locker maintained with the seventh respondent herein. He contended that without the petitioners' knowledge, the eighth respondent had withdrawn the fixed deposits from the Indian Overseas Bank, Urappakkam and Dr.

Radha Krishnan Salai Branches for which the first petitioner had lodged a compliant however, in the meanwhile, the eighth respondent had also withdrawn the amounts to the tune of Rs.2,19,85,900/- from other fixed deposits, aggrieved by the same, the petitioners made representations as well as issued legal notices to the respondents 1 to 7 not to release any further amount from the deceased R.Srinivasans's saving bank accounts and also not to permit the eighth respondent to access the locker of the deceased in the seventh respondent firm respectively, however there was no response from the respondents 1 to 7 and hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court directs the respondents 1 to 7 to consider the petitioners' representations dated 13.06.2025 and 30.06.2025 and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the eighth respondent herein, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
