.. Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.03.2015 and pass suitable orders.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner would state that the respondent has acquired the lands belonging to the petitioner for the purpose of constructing a over bridge nearby Vadapalani inner ring road and NSK Road junction, under Section 19(3) r/w 19(6) in Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 and subsequently, passed an award in the year 2012, fixing the value at Rs.4,220/- per sq.ft., though, the value would be more. The petitioner subsequently submitted a representation dated 23.03.2015 to the respondent, stating that the amount has not been calculated properly and interest component as well as other statutory entitlements have not been given to them and though, it was acknowledged by the respondent on 25.03.2015, the petitioner has not https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

been favoured with any response and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Narendran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijaya Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider the representation dated 23.03.2015, submitted by the petitioner, in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner.
