2. The reading of the petition filed to quash the CC.No.6573 of 2023 pending on the file of learned II Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai reveals that the parties have mutually decided to settle the dispute and therefore if the prosecution continues, it will re-open the healed wound.
2. If the parties have settled the dispute for the offence under Section 420 of I.P.C, it is always open to them either to seek of compounding the offence before the trial Court or plea bargain under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, the inherent power vested with the High Court need not be invoked for matter of this nature. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy before the trial Court.
