Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the legal heir certificate dated 16.06.2015 issued by the Third Respondent issued in A5/3588/15.SL.No.853/2015 and quash the same and consequently to direct the First and Second Respondents to take action for issuing fresh legal heirs certificate incorporating the Petitioner as one of the legal heir of deceased Jeganatha Chetty.

ORDER

The First Respondent has filed action taken report in which it has been stated as follows:- "6. It is further submitted that the Revenue Divisional Officer, North Chennai Division has conducted enquiry with the Petitioner and the other legal heirs and by way of proceedings RC.Lr.No.A1/3932/2018 dated 09.08.2019 cancelled the legal heirship certificate issued by the Tahsildar, Tondiarpet Taluk vide A5/3588/15 dated 16.06.2015 and also directed the Tahsildar, Tondiarpet Taluk to make necessary changes in legal heirship certificate issue register and take necessary action to issue legal heir certificate based on merits on receipt of fresh application from the Petitioner."

A copy of the same has been furnished to the Learned Counsel for the Petitioner, who has made an endorsement to that effect. 2.
