C O M M O N O R D E R The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420, 468 and 471 of IPC, registered in Crime No:221, 222 & 223 of 2020, on the file of the respondent seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused person (A1) collected a sum of Rs.4,50,000/- and have given assurance to get a Government job in the Collectorate. Thereafter, they also fabricated fake appointment orders and issued to the victims. On verification it was found that the same was fake. Thereafter, they failed to return the said amount to the victims. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that

petitioner is working as Revenue Inspector in the Collectorate of Vellore District, and he has nothing to do with other accused persons. Even according to the case of the prosecution, the first accused Gunasekaran only collected money from all the victims and fabricated appointment order. Except the fact that the petitioner is working in the Revenue Department he has nothing to do with the victims and also no way connected with the first accused. Only because he is a Government employee, now he has been roped into case with the above said allegations.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that there are totally two accused persons. Both have collected money from 16 victims each Rs.4.5 lakhs or Rs.5 lakhs to get the job from the Government Department. Thereafter, they also fabricated fake appointment orders and issued to them. Insofar as the petitioner is concerned, he is working as Revenue Inspector in the Collectorate of Vellore District and utilising the official position, he collected money from poor victims.

5. It is seen that the there are totally two accused, in which the petitioner is arrayed as A2, and he is working as Revenue Inspector, Collectorate of Vellore. He along with the first accused collected Rs.14,50,000/- from so many victims to get job in the Collectorate and they also fabricated fake appointment order to the victims for several posts. Therefore, being the Government employee and working as Revenue Inspector, he involved in this kind of crime, which is serious one as such this Court is not inclined to grant Anticipatory Bail to the petitioner herein.
