Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the encroachments in the public tank (Vilangukaran Kulam) situate in Ward No.3, Block No.69, T.S.No.2661 - 91 cents in Cuddalore Town and also the encroachments in T.S.No.2629 being the pathway to the above said tank and thereby restore the above public tank to its original position so as to enable the

(The Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the respondents seeks to produce a communication of the Special Government Pleader dated 05.06.2015 issued by the second respondent along with photographs of the area stating that there are no encroachments in the water bodies and in respect of the land in S.No.2629, private persons have been granted ryotwari patta. This report is based on the inspection which was conducted on the land in the presence of the writ petitioner.
