ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 06.09.2017 and reminder dated 02.08.2022 and 17.11.2022 and issue community certificate to the petitioner.

2. On 03.04.2023, the learned Additional Government Pleader had taken notice for the respondent and sought time for getting instructions from the respondent.

3. Today, when the was matter listed, Mr. A. Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader had informed the Court that the respondent has not furnished any instructions to the learned Special Government Pleader.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, we are inclined to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application 2/4

dated 06.09.2017 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to the petitioner, as early as possible, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. It is needless to say that the copy of the said representation dated 06.09.2017, to be furnished by the petitioner to the respondent.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
