ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a mandamus directing the first and second respondents to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 16.09.2014 and appoint him as Forest Ranger as per G.O.(Ms) No.1054, Forest and Fisheries Department dated 03.09.1983.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Heard counsel representing the second respondent as well as the learned counsel for the third respondent.

Learned counsel for the first respondent filed a counter affidavit and submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 16.09.2014 was considered, examined and it was found that the benefits of G.O.(Ms) No.1054, Forest and Fisheries Department dated 03.09.1983 are applicable only to the members of Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service (TNMS). It is also mentioned that the petitioner has not acquired the requisite qualification and thereby he is not eligible for promotion to the post of Forest Ranger and the petitioner's representation was 2/4

suitably replied as per the proceedings in No.B2/29766/2014 dated 05.10.2015 by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests.

The petitioner has not been evincing any interest even after this matter listed under the caption "for dismissal".
