PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant permission to conduct cultural programme of Adal Padal on 31.03.2023 at 06:00 PM to 11:00 PM at "Sri Drowpathiamman Temple Festival" Thiruchendur Murugan Nagar, Vinayagampet, Puducherry by consider and pass orders on the representation dated 24.03.2023 made by the petitioner. O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2023 and grant permission to conduct cultural programme of Adal Padal on 31.03.2023 at 06:00 PM to 11:00 PM at "Sri Drowpathiamman Temple" Thiruchendur Murugan Nagar, Vinayagampet, Puducherry.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner plans to conduct cultural programme (Adal Padal) on 31.03.2023 at 06.00 pm to 11.00 pm at "Sri Drowpathiamman Temple Festival" Thiruchendur Murugan Nagar, Vinayagampet, Puducherry.

3. In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 24.03.2023. Since no order is passed, this Writ Petition is filed.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) submitted that when a similar programme was organized in other temple, there arose violations and law and order problem.

5. In the light of the submissions made by either side, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2023 and pass appropriate orders in the manner known to law.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
