Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to forthwith grant the approval for the change of Correspondentship pursuant to the Executive Committee meeting of the petitioner-institution held on 14.04.2018 to appoint under mentioned correspondents, (1) Primary and Middle School, Thiruporur range in the name of Rev.S.D.David, (2) Primary and Middle School, Chitlapakkam range in the name of Rev.S.D.David,

that there is no disruption in the process of making admission, posting transfers, grant (salary) etc., so as to make the schools functioning without any hitch from 01.06.2018 viz., the commencement of the academic year.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with the above Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to forthwith grant the approval for the change of Correspondentship pursuant to the Executive Committee meeting of the petitioner-institution held on 14.04.2018 to appoint under mentioned correspondents, (1) Primary and Middle School, Thiruporur range in the name of Rev.S.D.David, (2) Primary and Middle School, Chitlapakkam range in the name of Rev.S.D.David,

(3) High Schools in Velacherry and Kottur Range in the name of Mr.G.Sathya Muller, and (4) Primary and Middle Schools, Adyar Range, in the name of Rev.P.M.Vijayaseelan, pursuant to the request for approval sent by the petitioner on 16.04.2018 so that there is no disruption in the process of making admission, posting transfers, grant (salary) etc., so as to make the schools functioning without any hitch from 01.06.2018 viz., the commencement of the academic year.

The case of the petitioner is that there is no Correspondent as on date in the School(s) and that the application(s) for appointment of Correspondent(s) has been made to the respondent(s), dated 16.04.2018, which is/are pending and that only formal approval of appointment of the Correspondents, is required. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the respondents 1 to 3 will have to consider the request of the petitioner-institution and if all the other requirements are fulfilled, the respondents 1 to 3 would consider the request of the petitioner.

3. Hence, the respondents 1 to 3 are directed to process the said application(s), dated 16.04.2018 of the petitioner and finalise the same before 15.05.2018 by passing appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.

4. With the above observations and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
