ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Contempt Petition aggrieved by the noncompliance of the order dated 19.03.2024 made in W.P.No.490 of 2021. 2.This Court, by order dated 19.03.2024, directed the fourth respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2020 by taking appropriate action, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner, and to pass orders within a period of the eight weeks from the date of receipt of the order.

3. The representation sought for by the petitioner is to initiate an enquiry and examine into plagiarism in respect of the publications of the Vice Chancellor and faculties of the Universities.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner informs the Court that the fourth respondent, the Registrar of Annamalai University, has disposed of the

representation after affording an opportunity to the petitioner.

5. The grievance of the petitioner is that no external experts were consulted and no action was taken.

6. The learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute that an opportunity was indeed given and the petitioner has also passed on certain documents to the fourth respondent.

7. The order is confined to the petitioner's representation being disposed of after affording an opportunity to the petitioner and passing appropriate orders within a period of 8 weeks. There is no direction in the order passed by this Court to appoint any third-party expert to look into the allegations made in the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2020.

8. Since the representation of the petitioner was considered and disposed of by passing appropriate orders, the Contempt Petition is closed. The

petitioner is at liberty to question the outcome of the enquiry made by the fourth respondent. No costs.
