Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioners seek for a mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the appeal dated 14.06.2018 filed against the order of the 4th respondent dated 18.05.2018.

3. It is seen that the petitioner sought for grant of patta in respect of the land situated at S.No.181/1, V.Mathur Village, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

measuring an extent of 0.65.5 hectares, by reclassifying the same. It is further seen that the 4th respondent has rejected the said request by an order dated 18.05.2018. Challenging the said order, the petitioner has preferred the above appeal before the 2nd respondent. Since the said appeal has not been considered by the 2nd respondent, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the appeal filed by the petitioner, as it is for the 2nd respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the 2nd respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned. Such exercise shall be done by the 2nd respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
