This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register an FIR on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 14.08.2014 and to take follow up action in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. It is seen that the petitioner has given a complaint to the Commissioner of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Cell, Chennai Central Crime Branch.

4. The petitioner is directed to lodge a fresh complaint before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai, who in turn shall allot the case to the concerned Inspector of Police for enquiry. During the course of enquiry, if https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

any cognizable offence is made out, the Inspector of Police shall take action in accordance with the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].

This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
