Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take action on the petitioner's representations dated 09.05.2020 and 26.05.2020 and provide the sufficient police personnel for Public Security to prevent the spread of epidemic diseases i.e., COVID -19 Virus by decreasing the deputation of Police Personnel to the TASMAC shops.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a Writ of Mandamus to take action on the representations made on 09.05.2020 and 26.05.2020 seeking sufficient police protection .
2. In the status report filed by the fourth respondent, the particulars of the police protection given has been mentioned. In particular, we record the statement made in paragraph 5 of the status report filed by the 4th respondent. "5.It is submitted that adequate police personnel have been and are being deployed in t he cities and districts of the State to prevent spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The police personnel belonging to respective cities and districts including the armed reserve police personnel are being deployed on the basis of meticulously drafted bundobust scheme. Periodic instructions are being given and the police personnel are being properly briefed then and there to discharge their duties effectively under the supervision of the respective jurisdictional offices to prevent the spread of the pandemic. The police personnel from the battalions are also engaged in the above duties to prevent the spread of the pandemic."
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner also submitted that adequate measures are in place.
4. In view of the above, no further orders are required in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
