Respondents Prayer:- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the 2nd respondent to register a case against the proposed said persons and investigate the matter according to law on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioners to the respondents on 07.07.2015.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to register a case against the proposed said persons and investigate the matter according to law on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioners to the respondents on 07.07.2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. It is seen that these petitioners have lodged a complaint dated 07.07.2015 to the Hon'ble Chief Minister and other dignitaries. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submits that, the complaint was lodged by one Meenakumari against these petitioners and enquiry was conducted by the Sub Inspector of Police. During the enquiry, the petitioners have agreed to return the amount they have taken from Meenakumari over a period of time. Now it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that, the Sub Inspector of Police had forced the petitioners to give such an undertaking. Be that as it may, if the complaint given by Meenakumari discloses commission of a cognizable offence against these petitioners, the Inspector of Police, Economic Offences Wing, Guindy, Chennai shall register a regular case and take action in accordance with the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].

This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
