Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 26.3.2022 and to remove the encroachment on public road situated at market road and Masuthi street in Ward 10 & 15, Thirukazhukundram Panchayat, Thirukazhukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed to seek a direction to remove the encroachment on the public road at Market Road and Masuthi Street in Ward Nos.10 and 15, Thirukazhukundram Panchayat, Thirukazhukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

2. A representation in reference to it was given by the petitioner and despite receipt of the representation, the encroachment has not been removed, causing traffic congestion on the roads. Photographs in this regard have also been produced by the petitioner.

3. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.03.2022 and take necessary action pursuant to it within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any encroachment is found, it goes without saying that it should be removed by due process of law. There will be no order as to costs.
