ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 1 and 2 to remove the public toilet from its current location from the Nannmadiya Perumal Temple, Talachangadu, Tharangapadi Taluk, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the petitioner, who appeared in person, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 and learned Special Government Pleader [HR & CE] appearing for third respondent.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the public toilet is constructed by Sembanarkoil Panchayat Union in the property of the temple for public use, which is being used by public through the main entrance of the temple. The toilet is very close to the temple kitchen and hence, the same may be shifted to a place outside the temple property. In this regard, petitioner has also submitted a representation dated 21.03.2020 to the respondents. Since no action was taken, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. Considering the submission of petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2020 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
