ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) and 28 of NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.85 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The petitioner herein is an absconding accused in a case of seizure of 4 Kg Ganja. According to the prosecution, this petitioner was found in company with other four accused persons and that those four accused persons were arrested for possession of 80 packets each 50 grams.
3.According to the prosecution, based on the specific information, they went to the play ground near Thidir Nagar and they found that the accused persons were selling Ganja for the public, two of them with contraband and two others fled. From the arrested persons, 4 Kg of Ganja was recovered and from the confession statement, the identity of this petitioner and another petitioner by name Karthick came to light.

Considering the quantity of Ganja recovered and the place where the accused along with others found selling Ganja and the confession statement of the accused persons cumulatively prompts this Court to decline anticipatory bail petition.
