ORDER

By consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner would state that she and her husband had constructed a small house bearing D.No.3/38 at Anbu Salai, Sirukalathur village, Sriperumpudhur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and living there for the past 5 years and her elder daughter is studying 11th Standard and younger daughter is studying 9th standard and they have been repeatedly approaching the respondents to get the electricity service connection and also submitted an application dated 29.4.2015. Since no response is forthcoming, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, who would submit that the electricity connection is a basic amenity and therefore the petitioner is entitled to have the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

same and prays for appropriate orders. Per contra, learned counsel Mr.P.Gunaraj appearing for respondents 2 and 3, who accepts notice, on instructions would submit that the petitioner is an encroacher of a Government poramboke land and he had put up superstructure and hence there is some difficulty in providing electricity service connection. Mr.M.Digvijayapandian, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the 1st respondent.

4. Though the petitioner has prayed for larger relief, this Court without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's application/representation dated 29.4.2015 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. However, there is no order as to costs.
