The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a mandamus directing the respondents herein to give retrospective effect to the promotion of the petitioner as graduate teacher with effect from 28.06.2008 in stead of 22.07.2008.

2. The petitioner was appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher in 1996. A seniority list was published on 01.03.2007 for promotion to the post of Graduate Teacher overlooking the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner made objection vide his letter dated 13.06.2008. However, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

his juniors were promoted by a proceeding of the District AdiDravidar and Tribal Welfare Officer dated 28.06.2008. Thereafter, the Department felt that the petitioner is also entitled to promotion and accordingly, he was promoted as Graduate Teacher by an order dated 22.07.2008.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he could also be promoted from the date on which his immediate juniors were promoted by the proceedings of the second respondent dated 28.06.2008 made in Na.Ka.No.9825/2008/K.6.

4. In the above circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.06.2014 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
