This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. Perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petition, the second respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and the respondents 3 to 5, and dispose of the same within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
