PRAYER : This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 10.01.2022 and expedite the investigation within the stipulated time.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 10.01.2022 and expedite the investigation within the stipulated time.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, enquiry has been conducted. After enquiry, the complaint was closed by the first respondent on 22.02.2022 as civil in nature.

3. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has not received the closure report.

4. In view of the above, direction is issued to the first respondent to furnish the copy of the closure report to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such receipt, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the closure report by way of filing protest petition in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
