.. Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body of the detenue namely N.Logavani, aged 19 years, daugher of K.Natarajan and set her at liberty before this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH,J.) When the petitioner's 19 year old daughter went missing on 22.03.2024, he gave a complaint to the second respondent which was registered in Cr.No.164 of 2024 dated 22.03.2024 under the caption 'women missing'.

2. Today, when the HCP was taken up for admission, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that pursuant to the petitioner's complaint, the minor girl along with her parents appeared before the respondent police and it was revealed that the petitioner's daughter, aged about 19 years, was having a love affair with one Vishal. She had also informed the police that she intends to live with the said Vishal and did not

want to be with her parents and a written statement had been given to that effect.

3. Since the petitioner's daughter being a major has taken a concious decision to live with the person of her choice, this Court, in exercise of powers under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, shall not venture to consider the prayer sought for in the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

4. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition does not require any orders to be passed and stands closed.
